MoU between AICTE & IAMR
All India Council For Technical Education has signed MoU with Institute of Applied Manpower Research (IAMR), an autonomous organisation under the Planning Commission, Government of India. The scheme of National Information System for Technical Human Resource (NISTECHR) is inevitable as the processing and analysis of data and making future projections is a continuous process according to the changing economic requirements of the country and hence aims at developing a National Manpower Information System to store, update, retrieve and analysis of human resource. The objectives of the MoU is to estimate and forecast the short and long term requirements of manpower in different categories of programmes and disciplines under the purview of AICTE, estimation of available manpower in the above fields on the basis of existing intakes and out turn figures at various levels, assessment of the anticipated gaps in demand and supply of technical manpower taking into account the existing and future industrial scenario, to make education and training relevant to job requisites, study the present scenario of intake capacity and the real enrolment in technical institutions discipline wise making suitable recommendations and to analyse future needs of technical manpower in emerging areas including interdisciplinary /multi disciplinary ones. The monitoring and evaluation of the NISTECHR project shall be the responsibility of AICTE seeking participation of MHRD, State Governments and other Stakeholders as may be deemed necessary. National level reports will be generated at the end of each financial year so that the corrective measures, if any, shall be adopted.
The MoU was signed on 7th March, 2013 is valid up to F.Y 2016-17
