MoU between AICTE & Autodesk Asia Pte Limited
All India Council For Technical Education has signed MoU with Autodesk Asia Pte Limited, 3, Fusionopolis Way, #10-21 Symbiosis, Singapore Ôö£├ÂÔö£├éÔö¼├║├ö├Â┬úÔö£├®Ôö£├ÂÔö£├éÔö¼├║├ö├Â┬úÔö¼ÔòæÔö£├ÂÔö£├éÔö¼├║Ôö£├ÂÔö£├éÔö£ÔûÆ 138633 with the purpose to enter into a joint program to enhance design education in India by providing digital design software access to all educational institutions approved by AICTE for classroom and lab use and to both students and faculty for their personal learning and development. Autodesk and AICTE will identify Engineering students and faculty, to whom Autodesk will provide with select digital design Autodesk Software student license. The educational licenses may also be used for content generation for education and teaching purpose. The Autodesk software shall be delivered through AutodeskÔö£├ÂÔö£├éÔö¼├║├ö├Â┬úÔö£├®Ôö£├ÂÔö£├éÔö¼├║├ö├Â┬úÔö¼ÔòæÔö£├ÂÔö£├éÔö¼├║├ö├Â┬ú├ö├▓├╣s Ôö£├ÂÔö£├éÔö¼├║├ö├Â┬úÔö£├®Ôö£├ÂÔö£├éÔö¼├║├ö├Â┬úÔö¼ÔòæÔö£├ÂÔö£├éÔö¼ÔòØ├ö├Â┬ú├ö├▓├ªÔö£├ÂÔö£├éÔö¼├║├ö├Â┬úÔö£├®Ôö£├ÂÔö£├éÔö¼├║├ö├Â┬úÔö¼ÔòæÔö£├ÂÔö£├éÔö¼├║├ö├Â┬ú├ö├Â├ë Education CommunityÔö£├ÂÔö£├éÔö¼├║├ö├Â┬úÔö£├®Ôö£├ÂÔö£├éÔö¼├║├ö├Â┬úÔö¼ÔòæÔö£├ÂÔö£├éÔö¼├║├ö├Â┬ú├ö├Â├ëÔö£├ÂÔö£├éÔö¼├║├ö├Â┬úÔö£├®Ôö£├ÂÔö£├éÔö¼├║├ö├Â┬úÔö¼ÔòæÔö£├ÂÔö£├éÔö¼├║├ö├Â┬ú├ö├Â├ë portal and the access to the same is made through the AICTE e- governance portal. Keeping in view the bandwidth limitations faced by majority of the institutions, Autodesk shall evaluate the possibility of hosting the Autodesk Software images onto the secure AICTE intranet e-governance portal. AICTE in turn shall ensure secure access to the server only to approved Engineering institutions. The implementation of this program shall be in a manner and time frame by formation of a project mentoring and monitoring team comprising of AICTE and Autodesk, system development and deployment on AICTE e-governance portal for software delivery and establishing metrics for technology access measurement. The pilot testing of the same will be done initially with 50 institutions.
The MoU was signed on 15th October 2010 and the period is for 3 years.
